Job Description

  • Manage financial reporting and analysis, including interpretation and summarization of results with the appropriate analysis and recommendations to improve business performance with business insights.
  • Act as the bridge between the business analysts and stakeholders in the business by understanding, gathering, and documenting requirements for reporting

Responsibilities

  • Act as the bridge between stakeholders and the business analyst to understand, gather and document reporting requirements from stakeholders and ensure reporting meets requirements.
  • Ensure the business problem and the analysis requirement is clearly defined by asking probing questions
  • Maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy of all reporting from the team
  • Drive optimal financial decision-making through the provision of timely, accurate, and useful information to management
  • Utilize BI tools to deliver meaningful insights into business performance
  • Drive continuous improvement of organizational processes, procedures, systems, and reporting
  • Coach, guide, develop and motivate the team
  • Planning and setting goals for the team
  • Resolve issues and roadblocks
  • Monitoring team performance to ensure objectives are met
  • Assisting with the organization’s budget process including the annual budget and.
  • Assist with monthly forecast process
  • Manage the Technical reporting analyst who will be responsible for the maintenance and development of the Finance TM1 reporting system

Desired qualification and work experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
  • Professional qualification such as CA or CPA or CFA
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant analytical experience
  • Previous team management experience
  • Retail industry experience preferred

Technical skills

  • Significant analytical skillset, including the utilization of BI and reporting tools
  • Able to solve complex problems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • Able to work under pressure
